The Internet Society is a global non-profit organization founded in 1992 to provide leadership in Internet-related standards, education, access, and policy. The Barbados Chapter of Internet Society was officially launched on the 20th of September, 2016

The Barbados Chapter of Internet Society was officially launched on the 20th of September, 2016 and has participated in the work of Internet Society by engaging the local Internet stakeholders and hosting InterCommunity 2016 at UWI Cave Hill.

The Internet Society Barbados Chapter strives to make Barbados a better place by connecting to the world, with others and advocating for equal access to the Internet.
